Salvation

ABC’s of Salvation
The Bible clearly teaches that Salvation is a gift from God (Ephesians 2:8). It is not brought about by anything that we do. Webster defines the term gift as “something voluntarily transferred by one person to another without compensation”. God’s plan of salvation is freely given without us doing anything more than accepting it.

Here are a few simple steps to help us understand God’s plan.

1. Acknowledge your sin and its end result.
For all have sinned. Romans 3:23a
For the wages of sin is death. Romans 6:23a

2. Believe that Jesus died for your sin.
The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23b

3. Confess your sin and ask him to save you.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13

If you would like to accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior ask him in your own words to forgive you of your sin.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

Also ask Him to help you make a commitment to live your life so that it pleases Him by a condition of repentance. Webster defines it as : “to turn from sin and dedicate oneself to the correction of one’s life”

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17
